But there was always more to the story - seven planned seasons, to be exact - and it was always the hope of co-creators Aaron Ehasz and Justin Richmond that Netflix might take them there. The Dragon Prince season 3 could have been the end, with Callum and Rayla coming together with a flicker of romance, and a major fight for Xadia’s future won by the good guys.
